OUR HISTORY
Allie’s Dream was founded by Lili Vasileff, a single Mom of a special needs daughter, who decided that more must be done to provide for quality of life and necessary fulfillment for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities upon their graduation from public school at age 21. Being the first parent in nearly 30 years to start a Day Service Program (DSO), the State of CT approved her application in 2012. From then on for several years, Allie’s Dream ran the “Jump into the Arts” program on Saturdays during summers that was free and open to adults with special needs and their care givers. With the heavy impact of covid-19 on agencies and families, Allie’s Dream at long last and with great excitement opened its doors in June, 2022 as a fulltime DSO.
